Dziś mija 35. rocznica wprowadzenia stanu wojennego
Dziś mija 35 rocznica wprowadzenia stanu wojennego. Na Pomorzu szczególnie uroczyście obchodzona będzie dziś w Gdańsku i Gdyni.
W niedzielę 13 grudnia 1981 zawieszono podstawowe prawa i wolności obywatelskie, wprowadzono tryb doraźny w sądach, zakazano strajków, demonstracji, milicja i wojsko mogły każdego legitymować i przeszukiwać. W Gdańsku odsłonięty dziś zostanie pomnik Ofiar Stanu Wojennego – przedstawiający postać Antoniego Browarczyka, pierwszej ofiary tamtych wydarzeń w tym mieście. Uroczystość będzie połączone z akcją „Zapal światło wolności”. To kampania społeczna IPN nawiązująca do gestu solidarności, jaki wobec Polaków żyjących w stanie wojennym w Wigilię Bożego Narodzenia 1981 r. wykonały rzesze mieszkańców ówczesnego wolnego świata. Uroczystości w Gdańsku rozpoczną się o 16:30 mszą świętą w Bazylice św. Brygidy.
W Gdyni główne obchody rozpoczną się o 18:00 uroczystą Mszą Św. w Kościele przy Portowej 2. Kulminacją będzie o 19.45 złożenie kwiatów pod Pomnikiem Ofiar Terroru Komunistycznego.
