Cyfrowe okno na świat dla pomorskich wsi
Cyfrowym oknem na świat ma być dla obszarów wiejskich powołana Pomorska Unia Światłowodowa. Dla usprawnienia budowy sieci światłowodowej porozumienie podpisał wojewódzki samorząd i Zarząd Gmin Pomorskich ze spółką Orange Polska.
– Tak dużego projektu operator nie byłby w stanie zrealizować bez wsparcia – mówi pomorski marszałek Mieczysław Struk.
Największy w Polsce operator internetowy szykuje się do realizacji inwestycji związanych z szerokopasmowym internetem w 109 pomorskich gminach. Ma przeprowadzić cykl szkoleń z zakresu umiejętności cyfrowych odkrywających np. zalety telepracy, płatności online czy kursów e-learningowych. Rolą ZGP i urzędu marszałkowskiego będzie zachęcenie pomorskich gmin do uczestnictwa w projekcie i pośrednictwo między samorządami a operatorem. Według założeń światłowód ma dotrzeć do ponad 49 tys gospodarstw domowych i ponad 700 placówek oświatowych. Przystąpienie do Pomorskiej Unii Światłowodowej zadeklarowało na razie 37 gmin.
