Będzie odwołanie od decyzji środowiskowej dotyczącej przekopu Mierzei Wiślanej – poinformował marszałek województwa Mieczysław Struk.
Decyzję o środowiskowych uwarunkowaniach drogi wodnej dla lokalizacji Nowy Świat Regionalny Dyrektor Ochrony Środowiska w Olsztynie wydał 5 grudnia. Tydzień później nadał jej rygor natychmiastowej wykonalności. Oznacza to, że inwestor – czyli Urząd Morski w Gdyni – może podejmować kolejne działania nawet jeśli będą kolejne odwołania. Tymczasem w decyzji środowiskowej zabrakło odniesień do zastrzeżeń zgłaszanych przez Zarząd Województwa Pomorskiego. To m.in. brak wykazania nadrzędnego interesu publicznego oraz niejasne i niedokładne wyjaśnienie tego, jak budowa przekopu wpłynie na środowisko, ekologię, ekonomię i warunki życia mieszkańców Mierzei Wiślanej. Obecnie pomorscy urzędnicy są w trakcie formułowania ostatecznej treści odwołania.
Zarząd województwa zamierza też wypracować metodę monitorowania, w jaki sposób wykonawca robót budowlanych będzie się wywiązywał z obowiązków wskazanych w decyzji środowiskowej. Nie wyklucza w tym zakresie współpracy z lokalnymi organizacjami pozarządowymi oraz ekspertami w dziedzin przyrodniczych i środowiskiem ekologów.
