Jak zapisze się w naszej pamięci prezydent Gdańska i czym zasłużył się dla Kaszubów – wspominał dziś w porannej audycji nasz gość Artur Jabłoński – dziennikarz, wiceprezes Kaszëbskô Jednota i były starosta pucki.
Pawła Adamowicza spotkał pierwszy raz w 92 roku podczas studiów historycznych na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim, gdzie prezydent pełnił wtedy funkcję prorektora do spraw studenckich. Jego środowisko doskonale wiedziało, że ten człowiek rozumie Kaszubów – dodaje Artur Jabłoński. Współpraca z czasów studenckich zaowocowała wieloma ciekawymi projektami, które środowiskom kaszubskim udało się zrealizować podczas prezydentury Pawła Adamowicza. Dzięki niemu jedna z gdańskich szkół na Jasieniu otrzymała imię Lecha Bądkowskiego, a podczas Dnia Jedności Kaszubów ulice Gdańska co roku są przystrojone czarno-złotymi flagami. W 2010 roku odsłonięto tam pomnik księcia Świętopełka, a pomysł ustawienia tablic wjazdowych “Gduńsk – stoleca Kaszeb” wyszedł od samego Adamowicza. Jak prezydent Gdańska zapisze się w naszej pamięci? Paweł Adamowicz zmarł w poniedziałek, w wieku 53 lat, w Uniwersyteckim Centrum Klinicznym w Gdańsku.
