Stowarzyszenie „Aktywne Kaszuby” powstało w marcu tego roku, by aktywizować osoby mieszkające na Kaszubach, a przede wszystkim mieszkańców gminy Krokowa. Inicjatorką tego ruchu jest Aleksandra Obszyńska, dyrektorka Szkoły Podstawowej w Żarnowcu.
Najaktywniejsza w okresie letnim jest sekcja biegowa stowarzyszenia – „Drużyna Radość Biegania”. Do udziału w spotkaniach biegowych w Żarnowcu i Dębkach zapraszał Zbigniew Jakubowski – zdobywca Korony Maratonów Polskich. W stowarzyszeniu „Aktywne Kaszuby” działa ponadto kilka sekcji, w tym sekcja rowerowa, nordic walking, fitness i sekcja morsów.
