W Żarnowcu i Choczewie wznowiono badania
Elektrownia atomowa powstanie nie wcześniej niż za 10 lat. Wznowiono badania środowiskowe i lokalizacyjne na Kaszubach.
Dwie badane lokalizacje elektrowni – „Żarnowiec” i „Choczewo” – znajdują się na terenie gmin Gniewino, Choczewo i Krokowa. Badania środowiskowe i lokalizacyjne prowadziła firma WorleyParsons, z którą w grudniu ubiegłego roku PGE Energia Jądrowa zerwała kontrakt. Dokończeniem badań pokieruje sama grupa PGE.
– Od marca w lokalizacjach prowadzone będą dodatkowe badania przyrodnicze i hydrogeologiczne – opisuje Maciej Stryjecki, dyrektor Biura Lokalizacji, Infrastruktury i Ochrony Środowiska PGE EJ1.
Elektrownia powstanie nie szybciej niż w 2025 roku. W odpowiedzi na otwarty list wójtów Choczewa, Gniewina i Krokowej do premier Ewy Kopacz, w którym żądali odszkodowań za pasywność spółki w działaniu, prezes PGE Energia Jądrowa, Jacek Cichosz zadeklarował chęć współpracy z gminami. Spółka zapowiedziała, że jeszcze w pierwszym kwartale tego roku gotowa jest podpisać porozumienie o współpracy i rozwoju z gminami: Choczewo, Krokowa i Gniewino oraz samorządem województwa pomorskiego. Plan współpracy ma określać zasady, sposób i harmonogram prowadzenia działań komunikacyjno-edukacyjnych, a w planie rozwoju mają być wskazane przedsięwzięcia inwestycyjne w zakresie infrastruktury towarzyszącej oraz rozwoju lokalnego rynku pracy.
