Leśnicy wciąż apelują o rozwagę w lesie
W kaszubskich lasach poprawia się wilgotność ściółki, ale leśnicy wciąż apelują o rozwagę. Sytuacja nadal jest trudna na terenach, które w ubiegłym roku zniszczyła nawałnica.
Tak jest m.in. w Nadleśnictwie Bytów, gdzie żywioł kompletnie spustoszył około 10-u procent powierzchni. Sprzątanie powalonych drzew już się tam zakończyło, ale te miejsca wciąż są podatne na zaprószenie ognia. Pozostawione w lesie śmieci – jak szklane butelki – mogą spowodować pożar. Znacznie groźniejsze jednak są działania ludzi. Niemal do tragedii doprowadziło wypalanie traw. Zagrożeniem są też ogniska w pobliżu lasu czy niedopałki papierosów. Niedawne deszcze i poranne mgły to dobry prognostyk, dlatego w bytowskim Nadleśnictwie zastanawiają się nad cofnięciem zakazu wchodzenia do zniszczonego lasu. Obowiązuje on na obszarze od Bytowa do Wygody i Studzienic. Ma być zniesiony we wrześniu.
