Sinice kwitną w morzu, a amatorzy kąpieli – na brzegu
Sinice kwitną w najlepsze. Zakaz kąpieli obowiązuje w Trójmieście, w kilku miejscach na Nordzie i w jednym kąpielisku w Jeziorze Żarnowieckim. Namnażaniu sinic sprzyjają wysokie temperatury.
Bakterie te mogą być niebezpieczne dla ludzi – wywołują podrażnienia skóry, mogą także powodować biegunkę, bóle brzucha, wymioty, a także bóle mięśni i stawów. Woda, w której jest dużo sinic jest mętna, zmienia zabarwienie, brzydko pachnie – przypomina gęstą zupę. Według internetowego Serwisu Kąpieliskowego Departamentu Bezpieczeństwa Zdrowotnego Wody takie warunki stwierdzono w około 30 kąpieliskach na Pomorzu.
Zakaz obowiązuje w dwóch miejscach w Łebie i Jastrzębiej Górze i po jednym w Białogórze i Dębkach. W Zatoce Gdańskiej zakaz wprowadzono we wszystkich kąpieliskach od Gdyni Babich Dołów do Gdańska Świbno. Do wody nie można też wchodzić w Jeziorze Żarnowieckim w Lubkowie przy Domu Pomocy Społecznej.
