Korzystajmy ze strzeżonych kąpielisk – apelują ratownicy WOPR. W Gdyni spotkamy ich na plażach w Babich Dołach, Śródmieściu, Redłowie i Orłowie. Działa też grupa lotna, która interweniuje także na niestrzeżonych plażach.
– Amatorom kąpieli radzimy, by zanim skoczą z pomocą ocenili swoje umiejętności pływackie – mówił dziś w audycji Dzień Dobry Kaszuby Jakub Friedenberger, ratownik WOPR z Gdyni. Radził też, by w pierwszej kolejności wykręcić numer alarmowy. Kąpać się można wszędzie tam, gdzie nie ma zakazu. Wchodząc do wody, pamiętajmy jednak o podstawowej regule – czyli zadbać o asekurację. Gdynia od dwóch lat oferuje kontakt z wodą również osobom niepełnosprawnym. Chęć skorzystania z wózka kąpielowego, tzw. amfibii na plaży w Śródmieściu trzeba rano zgłosić starszemu ratownikowi. Sezon na gdyńskich kąpieliskach zakończy się 31 sierpnia.
