Negatywnie ocenili plan przekopu przez Mierzeję Wiślaną
Zarząd Województwa Pomorskiego negatywnie ocenił plan przekopu przez Mierzeję Wiślaną – sztandarowego projektu rządu Prawa i Sprawiedliwości. Opinia została przesłana do Urzędu Morskiego w Gdyni i do wojewody pomorskiego.
Była odpowiedzią na wniosek złożony przez gdyński Urząd Morski. Wraz z nim Zarząd Województwa otrzymał tylko część dokumentacji projektowej, spośród 16-u tomów do urzędu wpłynął tylko jeden. Brak było innych analiz i raportu o oddziaływaniu inwestycji na środowisko. W przedstawionych dokumentach brak jest również ekonomicznego uzasadnienia tej wielkiej i kosztownej inwestycji – wskazano na stronie pomorskiego samorządu. Jak skomentował uchwałę marszałek Mieczysław Struk „ Z jednej strony rząd PiS obcina pieniądze na rozbudowę dróg na Pomorzu, z drugiej chce wydać kilkaset milionów na budowę przekopu”. Ocenił, że to nie byłby koniec wydatków – wskazując na potrzebę modernizacji portu w Elblągu i dróg dojazdowych. Zdaniem pomorskiego marszałka pieniądze lepiej byłoby przeznaczyć na zabezpieczenie przeciwpowodziowe Żuław. Kanał żeglugowy łączący Zalew Wiślany z Zatoką Gdańską ma mieć około kilometra długości i 5 metrów głębokości. Koszt wykonania przekopu przez Mierzeję Wiślaną oszacowano na 880 mln zł.
