Pomorskie liderem w programie Szkolnych Klubów Sportowych
Województwo pomorskie liderem w realizacji programu Szkolnych Klubów Sportowych. Na Pomorzu w 2017 roku ramach rządowego programu Szkolny Klub Sportowy w szkołach podstawowych oraz ponadpodstawowych powstało 900 klubów, w których uprawianych jest 60 dyscyplin sportowych.
– Dzięki pracy wielu ludzi, a także internetowemu Systemowi Rejestracji Szkół mogliśmy sprawnie koordynować funkcjonowanie SKS-ów – mówi przewodniczący Wojewódzkiego Szkolnego Związku Sportowego w Gdańsku, Dariusz Męczykowski.
Rządowy program Szkolnych Klubów Sportowych skierowany jest do młodzieży, która nie jest objęta profesjonalnym szkoleniem klubowym. Zajęcia w ramach programu SKS odbywają się dwa razy w tygodniu i trwają po 60 minut. Budżet przekazany przez Ministerstwo Sportu i Urząd Marszałkowski dla województwa pomorskiego na jego realizację wyniósł 3 mln złotych. Przedstawiciele Wojewódzkiego Szkolnego Związku Sportowego w Gdańsku czekają na decyzje Ministerstwa Sportu, by program Szkolny Klub Sportowy realizować również w przyszłym roku.
