Powiat kościerski jako jedyny na Pomorzu nie ma jeszcze budżetu. Do marca musi znaleźć brakujące po stronie dochodów 2,5 mln złotych. Tak zwany plan naprawczy będzie musiała zatwierdzić Regionalna Izba Obrachunkowa. Przypomnijmy, że powiat nie wykorzystał ustawowego czasu do uchwalenia uchwały budżetowej, to jest do 31 stycznia. W planie finansowym dochody o 2,5 mln złotych przewyższały wydatki. Do tego samorząd jest jednym z najbardziej zadłużonych w Polsce. Plan naprawczy będzie oznaczał cięcia w wydatkach, które powiat kościerski musi zaplanować do 8 marca. Jak mówi starosta kościerski Piotr Lizakowski takie rozwiązanie było najkorzystniejszym dla powiatu. Wniosek do budżetu państwa o preferencyjną pożyczkę na spłatę części zadłużenia powiatu kościerskiego przygotuje specjalna firma, wybrana już w drodze przetargu. Za ponad 20 tysięcy złotych ma przygotować też plan naprawy finansów powiatu.
