Jednorazowe torby będą zakazane od 2020 roku
Najbardziej niebezpieczne plastiki, w tym jednorazowe torby powinny być zakazane od 2020 roku – stwierdził w przyjętej rezolucji Parlament Europejski. Apeluje także do Komisji Europejskiej, by wprowadzić wymóg recyklingu 80 proc. plastikowych śmierci. Mają to być – jak zaznaczono w komunikacie – elementy unijnej strategii redukcji odpadów z tworzyw sztucznych, o którą europosłowie apelują. Ich zdaniem najgroźniejsze plastiki powinny być wycofane z rynku, a użycie jednorazowych, plastikowych toreb zakazane wszędzie tam, gdzie jest to możliwe. To propozycja bardziej radykalna od projektu Komisji Europejskiej, o którym informowaliśmy w listopadzie ubiegłego roku. Według statystyk dla Polski już ograniczenie zużywania jednorazówek byłoby dużą zmianą, bo przeciętnie każdy jej mieszkaniec zużywa ich ponad 450 rocznie. Wydaje się jednak że na Kaszubach łatwiej będzie zmienić nawyki, bo już teraz wiele osób zabiera na zakupy torby wielokrotnego użytku. Oprócz zakazu używania toreb plastikowych eurodeputowani wezwali Komisję Europejską do śmielszych działań na rzecz zwalczania nielegalnego wywozu i składowania odpadów z tworzyw sztucznych. Zwrócili też uwagę, że jedynie ok. 25 proc. odpadów z tworzyw sztucznych podlega obecnie recyklingowi.
