Niespodzianek nie było, burmistrz Żukowa, Wojciech Kankowski otrzymał jednogłośne absolutorium. Pozytywne oceny wydała też komisja rewizyjna i Regionalna Izba Obrachunkowa.
– Pozyskano też sporo środków zewnętrznych, to nasz wspólny sukces – ocenia burmistrz Wojciech Kankowski.
Najważniejszym dokonaniem budżetu za 2016 było zmniejszenie zadłużenia o prawie 6 mln zł. Na koniec ubiegłego roku wyniosło ono 50,5 mln zł. Dochody gminy wyniosły ponad 155 mln zł a wydatki ponad 153 mln. Najwięcej środków pochłonęły remonty dróg, oświata, kanalizacja i wodociągi. Żukowo było ostatnią gminą powiatu kartuskiego, która czekała na zatwierdzenie absolutorium. W powiecie otrzymali je wszyscy włodarze.
