Rozpoczął się nabór do konkursu Piękna Wieś Pomorska. Zgłoszenia przyjmowane są do 12 maja. To już 24 edycja konkursu, dzięki któremu obejścia są coraz bardziej zadbane a mieszkańcy wsi łączą siły dbając o poprawę jakości życia w najbliższej im okolicy.
– Najbardziej korzysta na tym sfera turystyczna, goście chcą przyjeżdżać tam gdzie jest pięknie i czysto – mówi kierownik Powiatowego Zespołu Doradztwa Rolniczego w Kartuzach Regina Kleina.
Powstają wiejskie świetlice, prace zabaw, zakładane są koła gospodyń. W konkursie oprócz wyglądu zabudowań i terenów zielonych liczy się pielęgnowanie miejscowych tradycji, promowanie lokalnych produktów i prowadzenie działań ekologicznych. Wsie i zagrody można zgłaszać do 12 maja w Urzędzie Gminy. Do połowy czerwca zakończy się etap gminny, w lipcu powiatowy, a finał wojewódzki przewidziany jest na sierpień. Zwycięska wieś otrzyma 30 tysięcy złotych, nagrodą za pierwsze miejsce w kategorii „Zagroda” jest 5 tys. zł. W ubiegłym roku za najpiękniejsze uznano gospodarstwo z Kiełpina w gminie Kartuzy, wśród wsi zwyciężyła Stara Kościelnica.
