W Żukowie powstanie Obszar Rekreacyjny Parkowa, czyli droga spacerowo – biegowa. To propozycja mieszkańców wybrana przez nich w pierwszej edycji Budżetu Obywatelskiego.
– Propozycja mieszkańców zbiega się z gminnymi planami na zagospodarowanie tego miejsca – mówi burmistrz Wojciech Kankowski.
Głosowano na pięć projektów, ten zwycięski zdobył prawie pół tysiąca głosów. Według jego założeń powstanie odcinek drogi łączący ulicę Parkową ze Skate Parkiem przy Jeziorku. Będzie to trasa dla spacerowiczów, biegaczy i rowerzystów. Zamontowany zostanie monitoring, nowe oświetlenie, staną też ławki. W pierwszej edycji budżetu obywatelskiego głosowało 30 procent uprawnionych mieszkańców Żukowa. Oddano łącznie ponad 1400 ważnych głosów. Na drugim miejscu znalazła się budowa ulicy Jaśminowej, na trzecim postawienie sygnalizacji świetlnej przy gimnazjum.
