Coraz więcej osób uchyla się od obowiązkowych szczepień ochronnych
Samorząd województwa pomorskiego zaniepokojony rosnącą liczbą osób uchylających się od obowiązkowych szczepień ochronnych.
– Tymczasem to właśnie dzięki szczepieniom dzisiaj nie borykamy się z chorobami, które niegdyś dziesiątkowały populacje, jak np. polio, odra czy ospa prawdziwa – wylicza pomorski marszałek Mieczysław Struk.
Zaniepokojenie to władze województwa wyraziły pod koniec roku w związku z doniesieniami medialnymi o rosnącym w siłę ruchu antyszczepionkowym. Danych za rok 2016 jeszcze nie ma, ale w 2015 roku w województwie pomorskim zanotowano prawie 1700 przypadków dzieci i młodzieży do 19 lat, które nie otrzymały obowiązkowych szczepień. Najgorzej wypada na tym tle Trójmiasto – liczba niezaszczepionych sięga niemal tysiąca. Ponad setkę takich przypadków zanotowano w Kartuzach, Wejherowie i Tczewie.
Za unikanie szczepień obowiązkowych grozi grzywna do pięciu tysięcy złotych. Mimo to, według Głównego Inspektoratu Sanitarnego, w ciągu ostatniej dekady liczba niezaszczepionych dzieci wzrosła o ponad 10 tysięcy.
