Szlak Kaszubskich Drzymalitów otwarto w Skorzewie
W Skorzewie koło Kościerzyny oddano dzisiaj hołd Kaszubskim Drzymalitom – Aleksandrowi i Franciszkowi Peplińskim. Odsłonięto pamiątkowe tablice i otwarto szlak pieszo-rowerowy ich imienia.
– To postacie, o których wiedza powinna być wśród Kaszubów powszechna – podkreślał historyk Krzysztof Jażdżewski.
Aleksander i Franciszek Peplińscy, podobnie jak znany z polskiej historii Michał Drzymała, walczyli z pruskim zaborcą o prawo do budowy nieruchomości na własnych gruntach. Kiedy było to niemożliwe, w 1907 roku zbudowali wóz na kołach, w którym zamieszkali niedaleko Skorzewa. Była to manifestacja patriotyzmu i walki z zaborcą, co Peplińscy przypłacili utratą majątku i życiem w biedzie – mówił wójt gminy Kościerzyna Grzegorz Piechowski. Szlak pieszo-rowerowy Kaszubskich Drzymalitów liczy 16 kilometrów i prowadzi przez Skorzewo, Częstkowo i Wieprznicę.
