Mieszkańcy Skorzewa apelują do władz o budowę nowej szkoły
Mieszkańcy Skorzewa apelują do władz gminy Kościerzyna o budowę nowej szkoły. Wczoraj podczas obrad Rady Gminy złożyli petycję, którą podpisało ponad 700 osób.
Po ponad dwugodzinnej dyskusji radni przyjęli wniosek skorzewian do dalszej analizy. Obecnie dzieci w Skorzewie uczą się w trzech różnych budynkach szkolnych, z których najstarszy ma ponad sto lat. – Wąskie korytarze i małe sale lekcyjne nie sprzyjają nauczaniu – mówi Michalina Lasota, która w imieniu mieszkańców złożyła wczoraj petycję do władz gminy. Władze gminy proponowały mieszkańcom Skorzewa inne rozwiązanie: termomodernizację starego budynku szkoły, wyburzenie niewielkiego budynku gimnazjum i wybudowanie na jego miejscu nowego obiektu. Ta nie zadowoliło jednak mieszkańców wsi. Wójt Grzegorz Piechowski nową propozycję przyjmuje ze zrozumieniem, choć nie bez wątpliwości. Według wstępnych szacunków gminy, budowa nowej szkoły w Skorzewie kosztowałaby ponad 11 mln złotych. Mogłaby powstać w ciągu 5-7 najbliższych lat.
