Nieudana próba przemytu papierosów z Singapuru
Próbę przemytu ponad 10,5 mln sztuk papierosów udaremnili funkcjonariusze pomorskiej Służby Celnej i policjanci CBŚP.
Nielegalna przesyłka warta 7 mln złotych przypłynęła do gdańskiego portu z Singapuru. W kontenerze zamiast rattanowych mebli były kartony z papierosami bez polskich znaków akcyzy. Ich importerem była fikcyjna firma z województwa pomorskiego. Gdyby papierosy trafiły na rynek, straty Skarbu Państwa mogły sięgnąć kwoty 11. i pół mln zł. Służby ustalają, kto stoi za importem nielegalnego towaru. To drugie w ciągu ostatnich kilku miesięcy tak duże zatrzymanie przemytu, którego dokonali wspólnie celnicy z Pomorza i policjanci CBŚP.
W sierpniu tego roku w trzech kontenerach z Malezji wykryli 26 mln sztuk nielegalnych papierosów. Był to jeden z największych tytoniowych przemytów zatrzymanych na morskiej granicy RP.
