PKM wznowi ruch na uszkodzonych w ulewie odcinkach
Pomorska Kolej Metropolitalna wznowi częściowo ruch na uszkodzonych w ulewie odcinkach z początkiem września.
W pierwszym tygodniu nowego roku szkolnego, czyli 04 września, planowane jest wydłużenie trasy pociągów z Kartuz do przystanku PKM Gdańsk Brętowo, gdzie pasażerowie będą mogli przesiąść się dalej np. na tramwaj do Gdańska Głównego – zapowiada marszałek województwa pomorskiego Mieczysław Struk. Wyjaśnia, że nawalne deszcze w lipcu spowodowały na nowej linii ponad 600 uszkodzeń, które są naprawiane dzięki pieniądzom z ubezpieczenia. Pociągi z Kartuz do przystanku Gdańsk Brętowo mają pojechać 4 września, przy czym prawdopodobnie od Kiełpinka będą się poruszać po jednym torze. Do końca września wykonawca powinien uporać się z kolejnymi kluczowymi naprawami. Tymczasem przyczynę tak poważnego uszkodzenia linii PKM bada powołana przez marszałka komisja. Ulewa, która uszkodziła trasę PKM przeszła nad Kaszubami 14 i 15 lipca. Od 19 lipca kolejki SKM wróciły na trasę Kartuzy – Gdańsk Lotniczy. Stamtąd pasażerowie mogą dojechać do Wrzeszcza autobusową komunikacją zastępczą lub miejską, w której honorowane są bilety SKM.
