Strażacy z Żukowa przeprowadzają się do nowej siedziby
Kosztowała ponad 6 mln zł. Jej budowa trwała dwa lata, teraz oficjalnie przekazano ją do użytku – mowa o nowej strażnicy OSP w Żukowie.
– Wcześniej strażacy przez trzy dekady gnieździli się w budynku Urzędu Gminy – w pomieszczeniach od dawna za małych w stosunku do potrzeb – mówi prezes żukowskiej OSP Dawid Drewa.
Budynek uroczyście przekazano w sobotę, teraz trwa przeprowadzka. Nowa remiza poprawi bezpieczeństwo i warunki pracy – przyznaje burmistrz Wojciech Kankowski. Ochotnicy z Żukowa są najbardziej zapracowaną jednostką w powiecie kartuskim. W ubiegłym roku do akcji wyjeżdżali prawie 250 razy.
W nowej siedzibie przy ulicy Kościerskiej będzie się mieścić Centrum Zarządzania Kryzysowego i stacja Pogotowia Ratunkowego. Ochotnicy otrzymali też w prezencie nową łódź do działań ratowniczych.
