PKM: nowe połączenia i nowe przystanki
Pomorska Kolej Metropolitarna będzie kosztować ponad miliard złotych. Największa realizowana na Pomorzu inwestycja ostatnich lat właśnie została poszerzona, między innymi o nowe przystanki. Ich projekty są już gotowe – ogłosił marszałek województwa Mieczysław Struk. Dodatkowe przystanki powstaną na linii kolejowej numer 201 z Kościerzyny do Gdyni. To jednak nie koniec nowości w budowie PKM. Kolejne środki zabezpieczono na budowę czterech węzłów integracyjnych, w tym Baninie i gdyńskiej dzielnicy Kiełpinek. Węzły na trasie PKM połączą istniejącą komunikację – taką jak tramwaje czy autobusy z systemem połączeń kolejowych. Do wynoszących już ponad miliard złotych kosztów budowy Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitarnej doliczamy jeszcze zakup taboru – 10 nowoczesnych pojazdów szynowych. W założeniu PKM ma połączyć Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz z Portem Lotniczym imienia Wałęsy i dalej z trasą na Kościerzynę. Z coraz bardziej rozszerzanego systemu komunikacji metropolitarnej pierwsi pasażerowie mają skorzystać w połowie 2015 roku.
