Uczcili pamięć wielkiego naukowca profesora Edmunda Wnuk Lipińskiego
W Bytowie uczczono pamięć wielkiego naukowca pochodzącego z Kaszub profesora Edmunda Wnuk Lipińskiego. Na domu, w którym mieszkał zawisła tablica przypominająca jego dorobek naukowy i społeczny.
Profesor Wnuk Lipiński był znanym na całym świecie profesorem socjologii i pisarzem fantastyki naukowej. Wykładał na uczelniach w Austrii, Kanadzie, Norwegii, Francji i Niemczech. Był uczestnikiem obrad Okrągłego Stołu i doradcą politycznym. Pochodził z Bytowa, gdzie ukończył szkołę podstawową i liceum. Nigdy nie zapomniał o swoich korzeniach. Dziękujemy, że Bytów nie zapomniał teraz o nim – mówiła podczas odsłonięcia tablicy żona profesora Agnieszka. W uroczystości odsłonięcia tablicy udział wzięli naukowcy i profesorowie z całej Polski, samorządowcy i mieszkańcy Bytowa. Profesor Edmund Wnuk Lipiński zmarł rok temu w wieku 71 lat.
