– Podczas akcji Bezpieczny Weekend nie będzie taryfy ulgowej dla piratów drogowych nie przestrzegających ograniczeń prędkości czy wyprzedzających „na trzeciego” – mówi Karol Klamrowski z kartuskiej drogówki.
Mimo to tylko w pierwszym dniu majówki – w piątek – w w całym kraju doszło do 79 wypadków, w których śmierć poniosło 7 osób. Zatrzymano 325 nietrzeźwych kierujących. Na Kaszubach do niebezpiecznych zdarzeń doszło m. in. na trasie Kazimierz – Pierwoszyno, gdzie zderzyły się dwie osobówki, jedna osoba została ranna. Wczoraj w Wygodzie Sierakowskiej motocykl zderzył się z busem. Kierowca jednośladu w stanie ciężkim trafił do szpitala. Ładna pogoda sprawia, że wielu kierowców czuje się pewniej za kółkiem, a przez to paradoksalnie rośnie liczba zdarzeń na drodze – napominają policjanci. Przypominają też o trwającym zakazie ograniczenia ruchu ciężarówek o masie powyżej 12 ton. Dziś obowiązuje on od 18:00 do 22:00, jutro od 08:00 rano do 22:00.
