Na wsparcie czekają hospicja, a także stowarzyszenia, kluby czy fundacje zajmujące się m.in. wspieraniem młodych talentów, popularyzacją języka kaszubskiego, opieką nad młodzieżą niepełnosprawną. – Środki z 1 procenta zbiera na przykład Fundacja Dobroczyńca z Rumi – na rzecz szkół, które z nią w tym celu współpracują – wylicza Marta Lichwa z Fundacji Dobroczyńca. Po raz drugi już kampanię na rzecz przekazywania jednego procenta lokalnym organizacjom prowadzi starostwo powiatowe w Kartuzach. W ubiegłym roku w powiecie została co czwarta złotówka z puli 1 mln 700 tysięcy złotych przekazana przez mieszkańców.
Odpisać 1 procent podatku możemy tylko i wyłącznie na organizację pożytku publicznego. Ich wykaz wraz z numerem KRS znaleźć można m.in. na stronie internetowej Ministerstwa Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej.
