W gminie Chmielno powstało trzecie Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich
Po paniach z Chmielna i Kożyczkowa, zrzeszyły się gospodynie z Garcza. Organizacja została oficjalnie zarejestrowana w styczniu. Koło liczy 21 osób, są w nim także panowie.
Jego szefowa, Aleksandra Wangler-Wittke, przyznaje, że założyła KGW, bo chce, aby we wsi coś się działo. Stowarzyszenia zamierza ubiegać się o środki zewnętrzne, by móc organizować rożnego rodzaju przedsięwzięcia. Co ciekawe, do koła oprócz gospodyń należą też gospodarze. Nieoficjalnie wiadomo, że w gminie Chmielno formuję się kolejne – czwarte Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich w Łączyńskiej Hucie.
