W gminie Chmielno rozdzielono prawie 285 tys zł Funduszu Sołeckiego. Najwięcej, bo po 37 tysięcy dostaną sołectwa: Chmielno i Garcz. W Chmielnie spożytkują je na wyposażenie placu zabaw i zajęcia sportowe.
– Fundusz sołecki mam drugi rok i już się sprawdził – ocenia wójt Jerzy Grzegorzewski.
W Garczu mieszkańcy zdecydowali, że wzdłuż jeziora wybudowana zostanie promenada i doposażona świetlica wiejska. Następne po Chmielnie i Garczu jest sołectwo Borzestowo – tam za 32 tys zł. zagospodarują gminną plażę, mieszkańcy chcą też doposażyć szkolną salę lekcyjną oraz namiot sołecki na cele promocyjne.
