Najbliższy weekend upłynie pod znakiem liczenia ptaków.
Zimowe Ptakoliczenie organizuje Ogólnopolskie Towarzystwo Ochrony Ptaków. W tym roku zaplanowano rekordową liczbę 200 spacerów ornitologicznych. W czasie takich wypraw można nauczyć się rozpoznawać poszczególne gatunki, ale i dowiedzieć się jak mądrze im pomagać zimą. W tym roku przewodnicy zwrócą szczególną uwagę na uszatkę, drugą po puszczyku najliczniejszą sowę w Polsce. Zimowiska zostaną oznaczone w portalu internetowym, by potem utworzyć mapę zimowisk uszatki.
– Dzięki danym OTOP może śledzić zmiany i sprawdzać, czy pokrywają się one z wynikami naukowych opracowań ornitologów – mówi rzecznik prasowy OTOP-u Katarzyna Groblewska.
W Zimowym Ptakoliczeniu może wziąć udział każdy – indywidualnie lub z przewodnikiem. Obserwacje prowadzone są przez minimum godzinę notując maksymalną liczbę ptaków jednego gatunku widzianą jednocześnie. Od kilku lat na pierwszym miejscu Zimowego Ptakoliczenia notowana jest krzyżówka. W 2015 r. na drugim miejscu znalazł się gawron, a na trzecim – wróbel. Na Kaszubach spacery ornitologiczne odbędą się głównie w Trójmieście, ale też Sławoszynie w gminie Krokowa, Kętrzynie w gminie Linia oraz w Parchowie w powiecie bytowskim.
