Muzeum Westerplatte w 2019 roku
Na Westerplatte chcemy opowiedzieć o całej wojnie obronnej w 1939 r. – poinformował na konferencji w Gdańsku minister Jarosław Sellin.
1 września 2019 r. ma zostać otwarta pierwsza część wystawy głównej Muzeum Westerplatte i Wojny 1939 r. Placówka ma opowiedzieć o całej wojnie obronnej Polski w 1939 r. – mówił w Gdańsku wiceminister kultury i dziedzictwa narodowego Jarosław Sellin. Na konferencji obecny był także nowopowołany dyrektor placówki prof. Piotr Semków.
Muzeum będzie ściśle współpracować ze Stowarzyszeniem Rekonstrukcji Historycznej Wojskowej Składnicy Tranzytowej na Westerplatte, którego prezes – Mariusz Wójtowicz-Podhorski – został wybrany na dyrektora programowego nowej placówki. Do czasu otwarcia pierwszej części muzealnej wystawy, na terenie Westerplatte mają zostać przeprowadzone m.in. prace archeologiczne i odkrywkowe.
