Znamy laureatów nagrody imienia Gerarda Labudy
Naukowe nagrody imienia Gerarda Labudy trafiły do Lechosława Jocza i Piotra Kitowskiego.
W 2012 roku dzięki donacji Profesora Gerarda Labudy i jego rodziny została w Instytucie Kaszubskim ustanowiona naukowa Nagroda im. Gerarda Labudy. Zgodnie z przyjętym regulaminem wręczenie Nagrody następuje co trzy lata.
Laureatem Nagrody może zostać badacz (lub zespół badaczy) w wieku do 40 lat. Zaś przyznana może zostać za: pracę naukową – książkę, opublikowaną w ciągu ostatnich trzech lat; za cykl prac – publikacji książkowych, z których ostatnia została wydana w ciągu ostatnich trzech lat lub też za pracę jeszcze niepublikowaną.
Do drugiego konkursu o Nagrodę im. Gerarda Labudy zostało zakwalifikowanych siedem prac naukowych, spełniających kryteria określone w Regulaminie. Spośród zgłoszonych prac Kapituła postanowiła nagrodzić dwiema równorzędnymi nagrodami w wysokości 12500 zł. Lechosław Jocza, za pracę „System samogłoskowy współczesnych gwar centralnokaszubskich” oraz Piotra Kitowskiego za studium prawno-historyczne zatytułowane „Sukcesja spadkowa w mniejszych miastach województwa pomorskiego w II połowie XVII i XVIII wieku.”
