Władze województwa chcą inwestować w dalszy rozwój kolei
Chcą przyzwyczajać mieszkańców Pomorza do podróżowania pociągami – to jedno z wyzwań dla samorządu województwa pomorskiego na przyszły rok. Na utrzymanie połączeń kolejowych władze przeznaczą 150 mln złotych.
– Musimy zwiększyć też liczbę pasażerów z powiatu kartuskiego – zapowiada marszałek Mieczysław Struk.
W planach jest dalszy rozwój uruchomionej we wrześniu Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej. W przyszłym roku wybudowane będą dwa kolejne przystanki w Gdyni Karwinach przy ul. Wielkopolskiej i w rejonie ulicy Sportowej tak zwany przystanek PKM Gdynia Stadion. Władze województwa planują również uruchomienie bezpośrednich połączeń PKM-ki z Gdańska do Kościerzyny. Tu potrzebna jest budowa drugiego toru na linii Gdynia – Kościerzyna. Ta inwestycja zapisana jest tak zwanym kontrakcie terytorialnym.
W przyszłym roku kontynuowane będą też przygotowania do modernizacji linii kolejowych na trasie Szczecinek – Słupsk – Ustka oraz Lębork – Kartuzy.
