Plan transportowy powiatu wejherowskiego jest gotowy
Ma usprawnić komunikację publiczną i zapewnić lepsze połączenia plan zrównoważonego rozwoju publicznego transportu zbiorowego dla powiatu wejherowskiego jest już gotowy.
– Władze samorządowe staną się de facto organizatorem transportu publicznego w powiecie - tłumaczy sekretarz powiatu wejherowskiego, Marek Panek.
Uchwałę w tej sprawie samorządowcy podjęli na ostatniej sesji rady powiatu. Stworzenie planu transportowego to nowe zadanie przed jakim stoją samorządy. Wejherowski dokument opracowano przy współpracy z powiatem puckim, i ma on dostosować ilość usług do potrzeb lokalnych społeczności, skoordynować współpracę między przewoźnikami a także zredukować negatywne oddziaływanie na środowisko. Plan dotyczy komunikacji autobusowej i kolejowej, obejmuje m.in. projektowanie nowych połączeń, utrzymanie na wysokim poziomie technicznej sieci komunikacyjnej czy reaktywację połączeń kolejowych. W życie wejdzie dopiero od 1 stycznia 2017 roku, ale przedsięwzięcie jest poważne, więc musieliśmy przygotować się wcześniej - mówi wejherowski starosta, Gabriela Lisius. Planu zrównoważonego rozwoju publicznego transportu zbiorowego obowiązywać będzie do 2025 roku.
