Czy powstanie nowa linia kolejowa z Bytowa do Lipusza?
Prawdopodobnie spółka PKP PLK wybuduje nową linię kolejową z Bytowa do Lipusza, która umożliwi szybki dojazd do Trójmiasta. Starania w tej sprawie prowadzi samorząd Bytowa, który przygotował pełną dokumentację inwestycji. Jej szacowany koszt to blisko 65 mln złotych.
– Po modernizacji pociągi będą na tej trasie osiągały prędkość do 120 km na godzinę, co umożliwi dojazd do Trójmiasta w 1,5 godziny – przekonuje burmistrz Bytowa Ryszard Sylka.
Istniejąca tam 25 kilometrowa linia kolejowa została wybudowana w 1901 roku i od tego czasu nie była remontowana. Zgodnie z przygotowanym projektem zostanie rozebrana, a w to miejsce pojawią się: nowy tor i nowe przystanki kolejowe w gminach Bytów, Studzienice i Lipusz. Projektowane przystanki będą też nawiązywały do architektury PKM. Środki na realizację mają pochodzić z funduszu kolejowe PKP PLK oraz ze środków unijnych rozdysponowywanych przez zarząd województwa pomorskiego. Linia ma być gotowa w 2018 roku.
