Dzień Pracownika Socjalnego świętowano w Strzebielinku
Za fachowość i empatię – podziękowania odebrali dziś pracownicy socjalni z powiatu wejherowskiego. Uroczystość odbyła się w Strzebielinku w gminie Gniewino w Domu Opieki Społecznej.
– Ludzie w domach opieki i innych placówkach socjalnych nie wykonują tylko obowiązków, ale służą społeczeństwu i za to im dziękujemy – mówi starosta wejherowski, Gabriela Lisius.
Dzień Pracownika Socjalnego obchodzony jest po raz 25 na pamiątkę spotkania Jacka Kuronia z pracownikami służb społecznych w Charzykowych w gminie Chojnice. Dla władz samorządowych jest okazją do podziękowania i wyrażenia uznania za trudną i często niewdzięczną pracę. Od 1989 roku, odkąd nastąpił rozdział służb społecznych od służby zdrowia, pracownicy socjalni zajmują się m.in. opieką nad ludźmi bezdomnymi, rodzinami patologicznymi czy osobami w trudnej sytuacji życiowej. – Nasza codzienna praca nie jest trudna, jeżeli zrozumiemy potrzeby drugiego człowieka – mówi dyrektor Domu Opieki Społecznej w Strzebielinku, Marcin Ledke. W powiecie wejherowskim funkcjonuje kilkanaście placówek zatrudniających pracowników socjalnych.
