Pożary pól strawiły ponad sto hektarów upraw
Około 130 hektarów upraw spłonęło w dwóch pożarach w powiecie wejherowskim – w Mierzynku i Osiekach Lęborskich. Strażacy walczyli z żywiołem przez kilka godzin, apelują o ostrożność bo na polach i w lasach jest bardzo sucho.
– Przyczyny obydwu zdarzeń nie są jeszcze znane, ale ostatnie upały i brak opadów bardzo sprzyjają pożarom – apeluje o ostrożność oficer prasowy Państwowej Straży Pożarnej z Wejherowa Mirosław Kuraś.
Płonące uprawy zauważono wczoraj niemal w tym samym czasie, około godziny 15:00. Groźna sytuacja była w Mierzynku – gdzie 15 zastępów straży gasiło i zabezpieczało teren przez siedem godzin. Akcję utrudniał silny wiatr, strażacy musieli także zabezpieczyć sąsiednie pola i przyległy las. Ogień strawił w Mierzynku około 80 hektarów zboża. W Osieku 9 jednostek straży rozprawiło się z żywiołem w niecałe trzy godziny, tam spaliło się około 50 hektarów upraw. Przyczyny obydwu pożarów w powiecie wejherowskim ustalać będzie policja.
