W piątki trójmiejska obwodnica pęka w szwach
Ostatni rekord sprzed tygodnia to prawie 97 tysięcy samochodów, które przejechało tą drogą. GDDKiA apeluje do kierowców: jedźmy dzisiaj ostrożniej i zachowajmy większe odstępy między pojazdami. Powoli to uniknąć stłuczek i upłynni ruch, dzięki czemu mniej postoimy w korkach.
– Newralgicznym momentem są jednak weekendy a szczególnie piątek – ostrzega rzecznik GDDKiA Piotr Michalski.
Natężenie ruchu mierzone jest na wysokości węzła w Osowej. Tego lata pobito rekord z sierpnia ubiegłego roku o półtora tysiąca pojazdów. To wynik coraz popularniejszej autostrady A1 i natężonego ruchu turystycznego. Średnie natężenie na obwodnicy poza sezonem wynosi około 55 tysięcy pojazdów, w lecie wzrasta o 20 tysięcy.
GDDKiA planuje w najbliższych latach poszerzenie trójmiejskiej obwodnicy o dodatkowy trzeci pas ruchu, który byłby uruchamiany w przypadku szczytów komunikacyjnych. Będzie to możliwe po wybudowaniu Obwodnicy Metropolitalnej i Trasy Kaszubskiej, które mają być gotowe do 2020 roku.
