Chcą wspólnie wybudować szlak ścieżek rowerowych
Samorządy południowych Kaszub chcą wspólnie wybudować szlak ścieżek rowerowych wokół największego na Pojezierzu Kaszubskim kompleksu jezior Wdzydzkich. Gminy Karsin, Dziemiany i Kościerzyna przygotowują projekt, na który chcą pozyskać unijne dofinansowanie.
– Ich budowa przyczyniłaby się do ochrony cennego przyrodniczo terenu – tłumaczy zastępca wójta gminy Kościerzyna Grzegorz Świtała.
W skład akwenu wdzydzkiego wchodzi 5 jezior o łącznej powierzchni około tysiąca 50 hektarów. Cały teren objęty jest ochroną w ramach Wdzydzkiego Parku Krajobrazowego i Natury 2000. Samorządy planują wybudowanie tam ścieżek rowerowych o łącznej długości 48 km. Miałyby one przebiegać po wyznaczonej już przez Wdzydzki Park Krajobrazowy trasie ścieżek polnych i dróg śródleśnych. W ramach projektu budowy ścieżek, wokół jezior wdzydzkich mają na trasie powstać też miejsca odpoczynku i sanitariaty dla turystów. Gminy muszą złożyć wniosek o dofinansowanie projektu do połowy września.
