Jak poprawić sytuację pacjenta i uzdrowić system opieki zdrowotnej – autorytety medyczne i eksperci m.in. w dziedzinach gospodarki i ekonomii debatują na Europejskim Kongresie Medycznym w Gdańsku.
– Kongres ma pomóc w zmianie naszego postrzegania wydatków na zdrowie, które jest przestarzałe – mówi Sekretarz Stanu w Ministerstwie Zdrowia w latach 2008-2014 Jakub Szulc.
To największe tego typu wydarzenie w Polsce. Oprócz lekarzy biorą w nim udział eksperci z dziedziny medycyny, nauki, gospodarki, finansów, biznesu oraz politycy, samorządowcy i pracodawcy. Trzydniowe specjalistyczne sesje i debaty rozpoczęto wczoraj, poświęcone są problemom i wyzwaniom stojącym przed sektorem zdrowotnym w Polsce. Starzenie się społeczeństwa, nadmiar zwolnień lekarskich oraz zbyt długi czas leczenia szpitalnego to tylko niektóre kwestie omawiane przez ekspertów. Szczególne miejsce w dyskusji zajmą innowacyjne leki, które w Polsce stanowią zaledwie 1 proc. rynku aptecznego, podczas gdy w Unii Europejskiej średnia to 5 proc. – Tymczasem taka farmakoterapia to wymierny zysk dla państwa – tłumaczy były wiceminister zdrowia Paweł Sztwiertnia.
Kongres rozpoczął się wczoraj gdańskim AmberExpo i potrwa do niedzieli. Województwo pomorskie może poszczycić się kompleksowym podejściem do zagadnień zdrowia publicznego – o czym świadczy chociażby przyjęty przez Zarząd Województwa Pomorskiego – Regionalny Program Strategiczny Zdrowie dla Pomorzan 2014 – 2020.
