W pomorskich szpitalach brakuje krwi, do jej honorowego oddawania apelują stacje krwiodawstwa.
Przypominają, że mężczyzna może oddać krew 8 razy w roku, a kobieta 6. Każdemu przysługuje w zamian dzień wolny od pracy i 8 tabliczek czekolady. W Regionalnym Centrum Krwiodawstwa i Krwiolecznictwa w Gdańsku regularnie wymyślane są też dodatkowe gratisy – jak np. ostatnio wydawane środy vouchery od Lechii Gdańsk. Na niewiele się to jednak zdaje, bo od dwóch lat regularnie maleje liczba dawców. To jest groźne zwłaszcza latem, gdy krwi potrzeba znacznie więcej. Liczba krwiodawców – wyjeżdżających na wakacje i urlopy – okresowo wtedy spada, a rośnie liczba wypadków, zwłaszcza komunikacyjnych. Szczyt sezonu letniego przed nami, a już brakuje krwi grup 0Rh+, 0Rh-, ARh- oraz Brh-.
Codziennie można oddawać w stacjonarnych centrach krwiodawstwa: w Gdańsku, Gdyni, Kartuzach, Kościerzynie, Wejherowie. W teren wyjeżdżają też specjalistyczne autobusy do poboru krwi, w najbliższych dniach będą w Gdańsku, Starej Kiszewie, Celbowie koło Pucka i w Gdyni. Plan wyjazdów i godziny poboru krwi można z miesięcznym wyprzedzeniem sprawdzić na stronie internetowej www.krew.gda.pl.
