4 linie kolejowe na Pomorzu będą zrewitalizowane
Ma skrócić jazdę pociągiem i poprawić bezpieczeństwo – rewitalizacja czterech linii kolejowych w województwie pomorskim. Podpisano list intencyjny w sprawie remontów odcinków z Lipusza do Kościerzyny, Lęborka do Łeby, Słupska do Ustki i z Kwidzyna do Malborka.
Pod dokumentem podpisali się przedstawiciele PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe i pomorski marszałek. Remonty mają być bowiem sfinansowane głównie z funduszy unijnych – będzie to ponad 400 mln zł z Regionalnego Programu Operacyjnego dla województwa pomorskiego na lata 2014 – 20. Obie strony zadeklarowały podjęcie wspólnych działań nad usprawnieniem czterech połączeń. Dwa z nich – ze Słupska do Ustki i z Lęborka do Łeby – będą szczególnie intensywnie wykorzystywane w sezonie wakacyjnym. Samorząd wraz z PKP PLK chce również przyśpieszyć połączenia kolejowe na trasie z Lipusza do Kościerzyny. Natomiast rewitalizacja trasy z Grudziądza do Malborka będzie kontynuacją inwestycji PLK, dzięki której pociągi regionalne na całej trasie Toruń – Malbork będą korzystały z nowych torów.
Od 2010 roku PKP PLK zrealizowały na pomorzu projekty warte ponad 5 mld złotych – mowa m.in. o remoncie magistrali w kierunku Warszawy, modernizacji linii na Hel i do Kościerzyny oraz do Portu Północnego. W następnych latach wartość inwestycji też ma sięgnąć 5 mld zł. W planach jest modernizacji trasy z Gdyni do Słupska, do portu w Gdyni oraz elektryfikacji linii z Gdyni przez Kościerzynę do Bydgoszczy.
