Strażacy będą w Nepalu pomagać ofiarom trzęsienia ziemi
23 ratowników z Pomorza będzie w Nepalu pomagało ofiarom sobotniego trzęsienia ziemi. Zginęły w nim ponad 3 tysiące osób, a setki wciąż są uwięzione pod gruzami zniszczonych domów.
– Ciągle jest to bowiem akcja ratownicza – mówi rzecznik pomorskiej straży pożarnej Tadeusz Konkol.
Dzisiaj o godzinie 9.20 strażacy z Pomorza wylądowali w stolicy Nepalu – Katmandu. Wyruszyli tam z ponad 80-osobową ekipą z Polski. Według pierwszych informacji, ratownicy zgłosili się do punktu przyjmowania pomocy międzynarodowej. Tam przydzielono im przewodnika i ciężarówkę. W odległości 15 km od lotniska rozbiją obóz i będą przeczesywać teren w poszukiwaniu ocalonych. Pomorscy strażacy zabrali ze sobą ciężki sprzęt do szukania ludzi pod gruzami oraz trzy psy. Według władz Nepalu pod gruzami ciągle mogą przebywać żywi ludzie. (Foto: Maciej Garczyński)
