Zmarli wybitni Kaszubi: Jerzy Treder i Stanisław Pestka
Niech Jim ta Kaszëbkô Zemia, jaką wcyg przed òczama miele, letką bãdze – mówi poruszony śmiercią dwóch wybitnych Kaszubów: profesora Jerzego Tredera i redaktora Stanisława Pestki prezes Instytutu Kaszubskiego profesor Józef Borzyszkowski. Ta smutna informacja dobiegła nas wczoraj po południu.
– Odeszli wielcy stolemni Kaszubi – mówi ich przyjaciel profesor Józef Borzyszkowski.
Po długiej walce z chorobą w wieku 73 lat zmarł najwybitniejszy językoznawca kaszubski profesor Jerzy Treder. Również w czwartek w wieku 86 lat odszedł znany pisarz i publicysta Stanisław Pestka.Zarówno profesor Jerzy Treder, jak i Stanisław Pestka byli silnie związani z ruchem kaszubsko – pomorskim. Obaj pracowali w Zrzeszeniu Kaszubsko – Pomorskim i Instytucie Kaszubskim.
Pogrzeb profesora Jerzego Tredera odbędzie się w Wejherowie we wtorek po świętach, a redaktora Stanisława Pestkę pożegnamy w środę w Gdańsku na cmentarzu Srebrzysko.
Zmarli dwaj wybitni Kaszubi: profesor Jerzy Treder i redaktor Stanisław Pestka. Obaj związani byli ze Zrzeszeniem Kaszubsko – Pomorskim i Instytutem Kaszubskim.
Profesor Jerzy Treder był jednym z najwybitniejszych znawców języka kaszubskiego. Zajmował się historią języka, dialektologią i onomastyką. W swoim dorobku naukowym zebrał ponad 300 publikacji. Od 1970 roku był związany z Uniwersytetem Gdańskim. Zajmował się też normalizacją pisowni wielu kaszubskojęzycznych wydawnictw. Był laureatem Medalu Stolema, a w marcu tego roku otrzymał Honorowe Wyróżnienie za Zasługi dla Województwa Pomorskiego. Od kilku lat zmagał się z ciężką chorobą. Niestety dzisiaj przegrał tę walkę. Miał 73 lata.
W czwartek zmarł także w wieku 86 lat Stanisław Pestka. Był dziennikarzem, poetą i działaczem kaszubsko–pomorskim. Pochodził z Rolbika w gminie Brusy, skąd przyjął pseudonim literacki Jan Zbrzyca. Stanisław Pestka dwukrotnie, w latach 70. i 90. był prezesem Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko – Pomorskiego a także redaktorem naczelnym miesięcznika Pomerania. Za swoją działalność wyróżniony został Medalem Stolema, Pieczęcią Świętopełka Klasy Złotej a także gdańskim Medalem Księcia Mestwina II. Na razie nie wiadomo, kiedy odbędą się pogrzeby zmarłych.
