Wielki Czwartek rozpoczyna Triduum Paschalne
Dziś Wielki Czwartek rozpoczynający Triduum Paschalne. W tym czasie Kościół wspomina mękę, śmierć i zmartwychwstanie Jezusa Chrystusa. Wielki Czwartek to także święto wszystkich księży.
– To najważniejszy czas przed najważniejszymi świętami mówi doktor nauk teologicznych lubelskiego KUL ks. Andrzej Megger.
Rano we wszystkich kościołach katedralnych biskup odprawia się mszę św. Krzyżma. Święci się podczas niej oleje, które przez cały rok służą przy udzielaniu chrztów, święceń kapłańskich i namaszczenia chorych. Podczas tej mszy kapłani odnawiają przyrzeczenia kapłańskie. Wieczorem odprawiona w kościołach zostaje msza Wieczerzy Pańskiej. Po zakończeniu czwartkowej liturgii Hostia skrywana jest do Ciemnicy. Tam rozpoczyna się adoracja Najświętszego Sakramentu. Jutro, czyli Wielki Piątek, to dzień upamiętniający śmierć Jezusa na Krzyżu. W kościołach nie odprawia się mszy świętej, to dzień zadumy nad męką Chrystusa, skupienia i powagi, a także postu ścisłego.
