A ostatni budżet zamiast radnych narzuciła Regionalna Izba Obrachunkowa. Nową radę czekają więc działania oszczędnościowe i restrukturyzacyjne. Zgodnie z prawem rada powiatu powinna wybrać starostę w ciągu 3 miesięcy od dnia ogłoszenia wyniku wyborów.
