62 mln złotych unijnej dotacji dla Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej
62 mln złotych unijnej dotacji zasili Pomorską Kolej Metropolitalną. Pieniądze zostaną przekazane na elektryfikację dwóch linii kolejowych. Powstanie też nowy przystanek – Gdańsk Firoga.
Zelektryfikowana zostanie 17-kilometrowa linia na odcinku Gdańsk Wrzeszcz – Gdańsk Osowa oraz 1,5 kilometra linii nr 253, zarządzanych przez Pomorską Kolej Metropolitalną.Nowy przystanek Gdańsk Firoga zlokalizowany będzie przy ulicy Szybowcowej, w okolicach gdańskiej „doliny krzemowej”. W 2017 roku z linii Pomorskiej Kolei Metropolitalnej skorzystało nieco ponad 3 miliony pasażerów. Koszt całego przedsięwzięcia to ponad 89 milionów złotych, z czego prawie 62 mln złotych pochodzi z dotacji unijnej. Zakończenie inwestycji planuje się na rok 2023.
