4 mld złotych na poprawę dostępu kolei do portów morskich
PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. rozpoczęły przygotowania do jednej z najważniejszych inwestycji dla przewozów towarowych. Wiosną ruszą przetargi na dokumentację projektową modernizacji portów w Gdańsku, Gdyni, Szczecinie i Świnoujściu.
Likwidacja wąskich gardeł, zwiększenie przepustowości linii, skrócenie czasu dowozu i odwozu ładunków a także zapewnienie jak najwyższej punktualności realizowanych kolejowych połączeń towarowych, to planowane efekty prac za ponad 4 mld złotych, które PLK zrealizują do 2020 roku. Program portowy, który obejmuje wszystkie cztery najważniejsze porty morskie wraz z modernizacją trasy Bydgoszcz – Trójmiasto, pozwoli na wzrost konkurencyjności przewozów towarowych. To oprócz poprawy dostępu do portów morskich także udrożnienie wyjazdów ze Śląska oraz korytarzy towarowych na osi północ-południe.
