3 miliony pasażerów przewiozła już Pomorska Kolej Metropolitalna
Pomorska Kolej Metropolitalna bije kolejne rekordy frekwencji pasażerów. Przewiozła ich już ponad 3 mln. Mowa o wszystkich trasach kolejowych obsługiwanych przez trójmiejską SKM w ramach PKM, czyli Gdańsk Wrzeszcz – Port Lotniczy – Gdynia oraz z Kartuz do Gdańska i Kościerzyny do Gdyni.
Pomorską Kolej Metropolitalną uruchomiono w 2015-tym roku. Porównując statystyki z grudnia poszczególnych lat widać stałą tendencję wzrostową. W grudniu 2015 było to prawie 160 tys pasażerów, później o 30 procent więcej bo 220 tysięcy, a w grudniu ubiegłego roku zanotowano wzrost na poziomie 23 procent do 271 tysięcy. Największy przyrost liczby pasażerów tradycyjnie już występuje na trasie z Kartuz do Gdańska. W grudniu zeszłego roku na trasie PKM uruchomiono dwa dodatkowe przystanki Gdynia Stadion i Gdynia Karwiny, wyłączono z ruchu natomiast dotychczasową stację w Wielkim Kacku. Większość ruchu z Karwin odbywa się rano w kierunku Gdańska, a na przystanku Gdynia Stadion dominują pasażerowie przyjeżdżający z kierunku Gdańska i wysiadający do pracy w pobliskich biurowcach przy Łużyckiej.
Rozkład jazdy ma być dopasowany do ich potrzeb w marcu. Korekta ma też wprowadzić nowe połączenia do Gdyni i Kartuz oraz mniej pociągów do Gdańska Głównego. Do tego tematu będziemy jeszcze wracać.
