Związek Sybiraków uczcił kolejną rocznicę sowieckich zsyłek
Mało kto jednak zdaje sobie sprawę, że data 10 luty – kojarzona z zaślubinami z morzem oraz nadaniem praw miejskich Gdyni – to także rocznica pierwszej zsyłki na Sybir, jaka nastąpiła po zajęciu części terenów przedwojennej Polski przez związek sowiecki.
W tym dniu co roku gdyński oddział Związku Sybiraka oddaje hołd wszystkim tym, którzy byli deportowani w głąb Związku Sowieckiego w latach 1940-1941 – dodaje Aleksander Ryziński Prezes Gdyńskiego Koła Sybiraków. Warto pamiętać o tych tragicznych zsyłkach. W Gdyni, nieopodal skweru Kościuszki, nieco ukryty w parku, znajduje się pomnik poświęcony Zesłańcom Sybiru.
