Żurawina może stać się najbardziej rozpoznawalnym owocem z Kaszub
Żurawina może stać się drugim, po truskawce, najbardziej rozpoznawalnym owocem z Kaszub. W planach jest także rejestracja produktu w Unii Europejskiej. O promocji i jej wykorzystaniu mówiono dzisiaj w Kościerzynie na rozpoczętym I Festiwalu Żurawiny. Żurawina powszechnie zbierana jest na bagnach w kaszubskich lasach. Oprócz walorów smakowych, jest źródłem wielu witamin, które zapobiegają chorobom układu moczowego a także nowotworom. Promocją żurawiny od lat zajmuje się stowarzyszenie turystyczne „Kościerska Chata”. Jego szefowa Halina Rogińska w marcu zarejestrowała w Ministerstwie Rolnictwa na Liście Produktów Tradycyjnych – żurawinę z Kaszub ucieraną na surowo. Kolejnym elementem promocji jest trwający w Kościerzynie festiwal żurawiny. Dzisiaj w jego ramach odbyła się konferencja naukowa.
